Who doesn’t want to book cheap flights? Searching for a flight can be a bit overwhelming. There are so many factors: dates, times, price, fare class, airline, and more. Even when you know exactly when and where you want to fly, where should you look for the absolute best price?
Unfortunately, no website consistently has the best prices. Prices are constantly fluctuating and are not always the same. But don’t worry, we’re here to help you always find low-cost flights and show you the essential websites you need to know.
For start, there are some rules you need to know before booking your flight:
- Be flexible – if you don’t have strict date or destination it’s better. When you don’t have a strict destination that you want to travel to, you have the opportunity to choose from lot of different offers and that guaranties you that you’ll book the cheapest flight.
- Learn how to pack in carry on – that is the biggest advice I can give you. Carry-ons are your biggest friends and once you learn how to normally pack in them everything will be easier.
- Book minimum one to two months in advance – the cheapest flight prices are a month to two months in advance from the travel date so make sure you get your ticket. Also have in mind:
- Tuesday and Wednesday are the cheapest days to fly domestically;
- Saturday and Monday flights can help you avoid Sunday rush;
- Wednesday and Thursday are the cheapest days to fly internationally;
- Don’t book your tickets on Friday because the price increases before the weekend.

One of my favorite websites for finding absurdly low prices. Cheap flight deals that are error fares can be found here. By sending you alerts, they give you information on flights with significant savings to your preferred locations around the world. There are $200 round-trip flights from the US to Europe.
Expedia
Expedia Group is a travel technology company. Its websites include CarRentals.com, Expedia.com, HomeAway, Hotels.com, Hotwire.com, Orbitz, Travelocity, Trivago, Venere.com, and VRBO, which are primarily travel fare aggregators and travel metasearch engines.
Utilizing Expedia has some nice benefits, including a rewards program. However, compared to hotels, car rentals, cruises, activities, and vacation packages, the earning potential of flights is lower.
While you can accrue miles when you book a flight through Expedia, you frequently can’t accrue miles that count toward status. Additionally, you may not be qualified for seat upgrades.
Orbitz
